I remember a time,
So long ago,
When I could smile
From inside,
And every breath
Didn’t hurt,
When I could open my eyes
Without dying inside.

Now there’s no-one here to hold my hand,
When I’m afraid.
There’s no-one here to wipe away my tears,
When I’m hurt.
There’s no-one here to whisper words of comfort,
When I need you.
Because you’re gone now,
And I am all alone.

I remember a time,
Not so long ago,
When all I had to do
Was reach out,
And you would be there,
Arms open for me,
When I could see a future ahead,
There is no future now that you’re dead.

Now there’s no-one here to hold my hand,
When I’m afraid.
There’s no-one here to wipe away my tears,
When I’m hurt.
There’s no-one here to whisper words of comfort,
When I need you.
Because you’re gone now,
And I am all alone.

I try so hard to get on with my life, (can’t live without you)
But the memories are too strong, (now you’re gone)
The emptiness I feel inside is slowly killing me,
I miss you all the time. Why did you leave me?

It Will Never Be

I break away our gaze
It seemed to last forever
I'll never forget that moment.
The one moment where I was lost in my
world with you.
Where everything wasn't so bad,
Where I could dream and you could be there by my side
dreaming with me.
I quiver from your touch,
and shake from your gaze
My heart beats faster as I stand next to you.
I seem to have to tell myself to breathe,
everytime you speak to me.
Everything you do is perfect,
The perfect time in my life moves so slowly,
and I love it. I wish it could last forever.
Then just like that,
it's gone.
I don't know if I'll ever see you again.
I'm torn up inside, because I'm always
on my knees for you..
and you don't even know.

Alone

I used to be so happy.
I used to be in love.
I had you in my life before.
And now I'm just alone.Alone with my thoughts and my opinions.
Alone.
It's so hard to admit that I'm not ok.
It's so hard to trust people now.
But at least I know that I once had love.
At least I know that at one time in my life,
I had everything I wanted.
I just wish that it could have lasted longer then it did.
But it didn't
And now I'm just alone.
All alone.

Tears Of Sorrows......

Not asking for the real reason behind the sorrow
I embraced you tightly
But you left without a word
All I did was intensify my love
I'm so lonely that I can't sleep
The more I love
the tougher it gets for me
Even sorrow will turn into memories
I'll go with my life
As you did to yours

The Darkness

If only it were so simple,
to cruise through life smelling roses;
but the obstacles blacken the countryside,
and we unwittingly crush them beneath our boots.

Dreams sustain us through the madness;
goals give a finish line to our race.
Yet they change with every turn, around every wall,
and remain elusive throughout the quest.

Mistakes are made, and regrets are our luggage;
we will drag them with us to slow us down.
The victories are flashes of light, sudden and unlasting, which allow us
to glimpse the road ahead before darkness descends.

Love is bitter, yet it is the bread that keeps us.
Over and over it fills us up, only to starve us.
The people whom we love shape our destinies and our strengths,
yet leave us cold and alone in the darkness.

There are others trying to race to the end;
occasionally, we bump into one or two.
The bonds we form help us down the path less lonely
but eventually, we lose each other in the darkness.

Alone is not a bad way to be;
it clears your head and focuses you on the journey.
Cherish the short intervals during the quest you have with others, but be prepared to walk alone in the darkness.
